December 2nd, Last Meeting!! Sheralee Brindell on JFK Assination Theories

Our last meeting of the fall semester will be with Prof. Brindell on the JFK assassination. 6pm Hellems 269, Free pizza as usual!

Nov. 11--Hapa sushi on Pearl Street!

This Wednesday, 6pm, we will be meeting at 5:45pm and leaving at 6pm in Hellems 269 to go to Hapa Sushi on Pearl Street. If you want to catch the bus with us, please show up before 6pm, if it is easier for you, you can always show up at Hapa between 6 and 7pm. Everyone is welcome, even if you don't attend the Philosophy Club meetings regularly.

Alex Wedemeyer will present on "Cosmology, Ontology, and the Nature of Belief" this Wednesday. Alex is a graduate student over in the English department, despite this, the talk will be philosophical. 6pm, Hellems 269, Free Pizza.

Heidi Metzler will present her honors thesis on “Semantics of Constructions" this Wednesday. It will be great.

October 7th, Robert Rupert, "Do Groups Have Mental States"

Robert Rupert will speak on "Do Groups Have Mental States?" for this Wednesday. The sheep movie below will help in thinking about groups having mental states.

September 30th, Bob Hanna on "What is Analytic Philsophy? Where did it come from, what is its fate?"

Bob Hanna (a.k.a. bobhannabob) will be speaking this week on analytic philosophy; will he use analytic philosophy to talk about analytic philosophy? Come see! 6pm, Hellems 269. Free Pizza as usual.

September 23rd, Claudia Mills- "Artistic Integrity"

Claudia Mills will be speaking on "Artistic Integrity" this week. This happens to be the very same lecture she gave a few weeks ago for the department, so if you missed that talk, then you have another chance to see it! September 16th, Ellen Wagner on "Socrates' Final Decision"

Why did Socrates take the hemlock? he could have escaped. This question and others will raised about why Socrates chose the end he did.
Ellen Wagner is University of Florida Emeritus Professor of Philosophy.
